As a Senior Photographer – I built a green house a couple years ago and I love using it for senior sessions. At the Central Square location I offer both the green house, old red truck and a number of greenery and fields.
Your senior photo session is an exciting milestone, capturing this important moment in your life. To make sure everything goes smoothly and you look and feel your best, it’s essential to prepare ahead of time. Here’s a checklist to help you get ready for your big day:
1. Choose Your Outfits
Pick a few different outfits that showcase your personality. Aim for a mix of styles—casual, formal, and something that reflects your hobbies or interests. Make sure your clothes are clean, wrinkle-free, and fit well. Bring extra options in case you change your mind or want more variety.
2. Plan Hair and Makeup
Decide whether you want to do your hair and makeup yourself or hire a professional. If you’re going the DIY route, practice your look ahead of time. Keep it natural but polished, so you still look like yourself. If you’re booking a stylist, schedule the appointment well in advance and share your vision with them.
3. Gather Props and Accessories
Personalize your photos by bringing along props that represent your interests—like a musical instrument, sports gear, or books. Don’t forget accessories like hats, jewelry, or a favorite scarf, which can add a special touch to your look.
4. Get Plenty of Rest
A good night’s sleep is crucial before your session. Being well-rested will not only help you look refreshed but also keep your energy up during the shoot.
5. Hydrate and Eat Well
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session to keep your skin looking healthy and glowing. On the day of your shoot, eat a light meal to avoid feeling sluggish but don’t skip breakfast or lunch—you’ll need energy to get through the session.
Finally, remember that this is your time to shine! Relax, enjoy the experience, and trust your photographer to capture the best version of you. A positive mindset will translate into beautiful, confident photos.
